Alcohol polishing PVB (polyvinyl butyral) filament 1.75mm 1kg roll PRO is a new type of filament with some unique and attractive properties.

New own Shapata branded PVB filament with better characteristics and easier to work.

Excellent interlayer adhesion, and its mechanical properties are better than PLA. It has no unpleasant smell, PVB can be printed at a fairly low temperature , which means it can be used in almost all printers on the market.
PVB doesn’t require any specific hardware (neither an enclosure nor a direct drive extruder setup) to print well.
It can also be considered a hygroscopic material because it tends to absorb a lot of moisture from the air, degrading the plastic’s performance. To combat this issue, we recommend drying your PVB filament before printing and using a dry box to store it
PVB is also soluble with certain chemicals, significantly isopropyl alcohol (IPA). This means you can post-process parts printed in PVB using IPA or other chemicals to soften the part’s exterior, just like you can with acetone for ABS. Its chemical solubility provides two main benefits for the PVB material: bonding and smoothing.
PVB has impressive mechanical properties such strength, toughness and flexibility. Compared to PLA, PVB is significantly stronger and more heat resistant; PVB has a softening temperature of 70C, very low odor and prints as easily as PLA.
