PLA (Polylactic Acid) or polylactic acid is a type of bio-plastic made from natural renewable resources such as corn starch, sugar cane and others. PLA is the worlds second-largest bio-plastic.
This is one of the most popular materials used in 3D printing to produce various types of prototypes, conceptual models or mock-ups. PLA is used to produce details with high accuracy and robustness, characterized by small distortion in printing in the range of 195°C - 220°C, pleasant appearance and touch. It is odorless when working with it. Characteristic of PLA is the low endurance of high temperature and the occurrence of deformations during long sun exposure.
